The Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) has officially announced that Riyadh is set to host the World Expo in 2030, accepting a clear election by 119 BIE member-state votes out of 165 on 28 November. Riyadh competed against Busan and Rome for the opportunity and has won the race under its campaign theme The Era of Change: Together for a Foresighted Tomorrow.
